In my paintings, I reimagine the figures within a different perception of nature from everyday life. Instead of reflecting the nature as is, I create a reactionary environment and an atmosphere as if something is about to happen at any given moment or has already happened. I use everyday reality and fantasy together. As in dreams, I offer the symbols and leave the analysis to the audience. In this new ambiance I created, faced-away figures rush into a timeless space. They get stuck at a point in which an event is about to occur or come to an end, as if in some sort of purgatory.
